I am Callie Carranza, a quirky, wild soul born and raised in Idaho.
A sunset never slips by without me stopping to watch it, and more than a few dinners have been burned or gone cold because of it. If you have never seen a Western sunset... you should.
I grew up watching both my grandpa and my dad sell professional wildlife art in Jackson, Wyoming galleries and at art shows across the country. While they visited with collectors, I sat in the corner of their booth, filling sketchbooks with fairies, mermaids, and magical women. As I grew older, my head stayed in the clouds and fantasy books found their way into my hands. Eventually, the urge to bring the worlds in my imagination to life became impossible to ignore.
Nowadays, you will find me painting at home while my four children run circles around me. My husband and I homeschool them, so the encouragement (and honest criticism) is never-ending. Together, we try to fill everyday life with a little more wonder, imagination, and magic.
